Silvermine Guild
Arts Center

SILVERMINE GUILD ARTS CENTER, established in 1922, is an historic landmark located on four scenic acres in beautiful rural Fairfield County, Connecticut. Just fifty-five minutes from New York City's arts and theater districts, the Center features four professionally staffed EXHIBITION GALLERIES, a wide, diverse range of CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS for the public, and a SCHOOL OF ART serving over 2,500 students annually.

Conceived in a barn at the turn of the century by a small group of artists, the Center has become one of the largest established art associations in the Northeast. Silvermine is committed to enhancing the cultural life of the region through its mission of cultivating, promoting and encouraging art, supporting art as a forum, showcasing the works of established and emerging artists, and providing art education opportunities for the greater community.

The serene location and proximity to New York City has made the area a haven for artists, architects, media personalities, writers, musicians and poets. The Galleries showcase the works of Silvermine's resident Guild of Artists and juried national, regional and invitational exhibitions. A monthly lecture series on Sunday afternoons focuses on the professional development of artists. Speakers include established and emerging artists, critics, curators and other art professionals. The summer Chamber Music Series features some of the country's finest established and emerging performers. The series allows audiences a unique opportunity to enjoy superlative concerts in an informal, friendly setting.
